FORMER governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, has been appointed to reconcile aggrieved members of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Tinubu, a national leader of the party was chosen by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The task of the national leader of the party will involve resolving disagreements among party members, party leadership and political office holders in some states of the Federation.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu in a statement on Tuesday said this reconciliation process is part of the efforts to improve cohesion in the party.
“As part of on-going efforts to improve cohesion within the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Muhammadu Buhari has designated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to lead the consultation, reconciliation and confidence building efforts,” he said.
