THE suspension of the former Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin (Kano-APC) has been lifted.
The lawmaker was suspended by the House of Representatives over allegation bordering on Budget Padding.
Lifting his suspension the lower legislative chamber noted that its action followed a letter of apology signed by the lawmaker which was presented by the Speaker of the House, Mr Yakubu Dogara, at the plenary on Tuesday.
HEADLINE is yet to officially verify the authenticity of the letter from Jibrin.
The lawmaker was suspended in 2017 for 180 legislative days, for allegedly exposing “budget padding” scandal in the legislative arm of government.
He fought the house until he was suspended. He also had raised alarm that his life was under threat by some powerful forces of the house.
While presenting the letter, Dogara said that the suspended legislator had met all the conditions necessary for him to resume his duties.
Dogara said that the lawmaker was free to resume his legislative duties whenever he so wished.
