Killings: Army Set To Begin ‘Operation Cat Race’ In 6 States

THE Nigerian Army has revealed plans to begin a show of force in six states across the country.

Tagged, ‘Exercise Ayem Akpatuma’, HEADLINE understands that the translation for the Tiv language is ‘Operation Cat Race.’

The Chief of Training and Operations, Maj. Gen David Ahmadu, announced this development in Abuja.

He represented the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai.

He said the exercise is billed to commence from February 15 and end on March 31.

The show of force is to tackle the cases of kidnappings, herdsmen/farmers’ clashes among others in Benue, Taraba, Kogi, Nasarawa, Kaduna and Niger states.
