THE House of Representatives will next week pass the 2018 budget.
The lower legislative chamber made this known through its spokesman, Abdulrazak Namdas.
Namdas stated this while briefing National Assembly Correspondents on Thursday.
“By next week, everything about the budget will be treated and passed,” he said.
Both the House and the Senate had had promised to pass the N8.6 trillion budget on April 24 but failed to do so.
Also, the house had threatened to not hold plenary for three days as a way of lending its voice to the incessant killings in the country.
Briefing newsmen about the decision of the house on the protest, Namdas said the lawmakers were yet to carry out their threat.
He also said it was because they are waiting for the budget to be passed first hinting that the shut down may not be done for the three consecutive days.
